Patrol Deputies

The Patrol Deputy is a full-time Dixie County Sheriff’s Office employee who has received full certification as a law enforcement officer from the State of Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission. Our Deputies are committed to protecting the public and preserving the peace.

The Patrol Deputy’s responsibilities include but are not limited to routine patrol, criminal and special investigations, traffic enforcement, community policing, and, at times, assisting with community-based events. They must review, be knowledgeable, and adhere to all department policies and procedures.

The Dixie County Sheriff’s Deputies patrol our county 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
