The Dixie County Sheriff’s Office offers a wide variety of career opportunities for individuals with an interest in law enforcement. Job positions fall under either “sworn” or “staff” classifications. Sworn positions require current Florida Law Enforcement or Corrections certification, including entry positions such as Deputy Sheriff and Correctional Officer.

Staff positions do not require law enforcement certification and include entry positions such as Communications Officer, Clerical, and Secretarial, as well as several other specialized categories.
